Birmingham MCM Comic Con & Go Eat Worms

 

Hi! Thank you to everyone who came by my table at Birmingham MCM Comic Con! It was my first comic con of the year and a great way to kick things off! Thank you to everyone who bought a ink commission throughout the weekend and to my table neighbours for being great company!

I can also now confirm I'll have a table at London MCM Comic Con in May!
 

 

I've been developing a new long format comic/graphic novel called Go Eat Worms about a paranormal riot grrrl band who tour other worldly gig venues. I printed a 16 page full colour sample comic for the Laydeez Do Comics 'Laydeez Day' in London this Saturday. I believe there will be order forms at the event for this particular comic. I'll be around helping at the event so hopefully I'll see you there!

Kaleidoscope #2

Thank you to everyone who bought comics and zines at Kaleidoscope on Tuesday night (sorry for the dull photo quality - it was quite dark at the event). The event had free live music but I only managed to sketch Brain Food while I was there. Sorry I had to leave at 11pm, if anyone was hoping to buy something and missed me you can find most my comics available to order online through my Etsy shop. 

Don't forget I'll be at Birmingham MCM Comic Con this weekend - you'll be able to find my table CJ9 in the Comic Village section of the hall. I'll have the usual free mini comics to hand out! If you'd like a commission please come by early to allow plenty of time to complete your drawing during convention opening hours. 

Boom! Box Mixtape and Birmingham March Events

 

 

I had a little comic published by Boom! Box for their 2016 music themed Mixtape anthology. It's been reprinted recently in this All Stars edition. The anthology should be available to through your local comic shop.

Thought Bubble 2017

Thanks to everyone who came by my table at Thought Bubble! I had a lovely time bumping into so many friends over the weekend.

I've got a full table at Coventry Comic Con tomorrow - so I'll be bringing all the usual comics and zines plus a folder of ink drawings! I'm offering ink portrait commissions starting at £15. I've still got hundreds of free mini comics to hand out at events so please come say hi! You'll be able to find me at Table 24.

Manchester MCM, Desert Island Discs Fanzine & Not Another Comic Con

 

Sorry I've had a busy couple of weeks in a row but here are some updates of what I've been up to...

Thank you to everyone at Manchester MCM Comic Con. Special thanks to Nikki Stu and Naniiebim for offering to share their tables with me! I had a really fun weekend. I created new Free Mini Comics to hand out at this event, I really hope you all liked them!

I recently compiled a new open submissions music zine through my blog That Music Zine. The theme was Desert Island Discs, so '8 songs you couldn't live without and why'. It was printed by Rope Press and I'm super pleased with how the yellow and neon pink in mixed together on the cover! I got sent a great variety of entries from illustrators.

Thank you to everyone at Not Another Comic Con in Birmingham on Saturday. It was a first show for the organisers and they did a great job! It was a really lovely day :)

My next convention will be Thought Bubble which has moved to the end of September. There isn't an official map just yet, but I'll be sharing a table in the Millennium Square Marquee, which I believe is the largest. Please come say hi! Glasgow MCM Comic Con

 

 

Thank you so much to everyone at Glasgow Comic Con this year! The crowd at Scottish shows are always so friendly and enthusiastic about comics it's great. I took some example portraits of my friend Sarah Fogg - thank you to everyone who ordered a commission! I was stuck on the coach most of yesterday and couldn't draw because of motion sickness, I was able to post most of them out today but I've got a couple to finish tonight which will dispatch tomorrow at the latest.

I'm going to be at Nostalgia & Comics (Birmingham) for Small Press Day this Saturday. There will be a change over of different creators throughout the day - I'll be around in the morning slot between 10.30am-12.15pm so I can go draw bands at Godiva Festival in the afternoon.
