Birmingham MCM Comic Con & Go Eat Worms

 

Hi! Thank you to everyone who came by my table at Birmingham MCM Comic Con! It was my first comic con of the year and a great way to kick things off! Thank you to everyone who bought a ink commission throughout the weekend and to my table neighbours for being great company!

I can also now confirm I'll have a table at London MCM Comic Con in May!
 

 

I've been developing a new long format comic/graphic novel called Go Eat Worms about a paranormal riot grrrl band who tour other worldly gig venues. I printed a 16 page full colour sample comic for the Laydeez Do Comics 'Laydeez Day' in London this Saturday. I believe there will be order forms at the event for this particular comic. I'll be around helping at the event so hopefully I'll see you there!

The last show of the year I have booked will be Birmingham MCM Comic Con - I'll just be there Saturday and sharing the table with Iella. 

London MCM Comic Con May 2017

Thank you to everyone at London MCM Comic Con - I had a surprisingly busy show compared to recent conventions. Special thanks to Sarah Fogg for helping SO MUCH and remaining upbeat despite a horrible head cold! It was a lot of fun doing convention ink drawings throughout the weekend. I'll probably start offering them at future shows :)

My next convention will be Glasgow Comic Con on the 1st July! I have a list of events in the blog sidebar, but if you can't make it please don't forget I have an Etsy shop.

Giant Rhinos In Space #5 and Afroflux Comic Con

 

Giant Rhinos In Space #5 arrived from the printers today! The comic includes chapter 5 plus a gallery of illustrations in the back. I've made up bundles and everything is ready to launch at London MCM Comic Con this weekend! My table will be on row G of the Comic Village (there isn't a map just yet, but check my Twitter for directions nearer the day)

Do What You Want at DIY Cultures

I had a really great time at DIY Cultures yesterday helping out on the Do What You Want table with Clio Isadora. We only had one box of DWYW zines and they all sold - so thank you very much to everyone who bought a copy! Preorders are open for a 2nd print run of the zine, and an ebook is available from the website.

I'm going to be at Afroflux Comic Con this Sunday at the Birmingham Hippodrome. The event is Free entry so please come say hi! I will have more table space this time, so I'll bring a bigger selection of comics and zines. I've got plenty of free mini comics to hand out!

Hourly Comic Day 2017

It was Hourly Comic Day last week - an annual challenge to produce one journal comic per waking hour of the day. I've printed my comic into a mini zine like in previous years. It's now available to order through my Etsy shop. I can confirm I have a table at both Birmingham and London MCM this year. London MCM Comic Con October 2016

Thank you to everyone who came by my table at London MCM Comic Con! I really love decorating my table for Halloween. I had a great time with my table neighbours @ryuuza-art, @claudetc and @ratherlemony!!

I’ll be at Thought Bubble this weekend in Leeds! I’m sharing table 182b in New Dock Hall with Drew Askew/Ink & Booze.

I’m picking up a brand new gig sketches zine from the printers this week! (Rope Press) It compiles some of the gig sketches from the last year or so plus new comics and illustrations - including ‘Sammy’s Guide to Gig Sketching’ - sharing tips on how to draw on location, in the dark and in the middle of rowdy crowds. Thanks to everyone at BCZF this weekend. It was really great to be back again this year, I love meeting so many fashionable Bristolians. Special thanks to the organizers for hosting such a lovely event! Next show will be London MCM Comic Con at the end of October.
