Personal Commission - The Smith's

I have a price list online for personal commissions - ideal if you'd like to give someone a portrait for their birthday or anniversary or something specific to hang on your own wall. I can send an original ink drawing through the post and/or a full colour digital file for you to print. If you would like comic pages commissioned there might be an extra charge for the time it takes to plan and thumbnail page layouts and add lettering. St. Vincent Portrait and Gigsketches

I went to see St. Vincent play at the Roundhouse when I was in London MCM Expo last weekend. The show was absolutely amazing. The audience were asked not to record the show digitally, but I still did a couple of sketches while I was there. I couldn't resist drawing a full illustration one I got home. The last set of sketches are of the warm up band, Coves.

February 2012 Projects

Inspired Comics are working on a new anthology for the spring term and these are the characters for my contribution. We had a great time helping to run the art competition with Itch publishing at Midlands MCM Expo in February. Details for future events we will be attending as a group are on Inspired's blog.

Nostalgic Upsurge

I had a lot of fun recently drawing this cover image for Nostalgic Upsurge: An Oxford Tramp's Music Journal written by Le'Tong and published by FishNote.

I also drew a dancing Angela for Timothy Winchester's Angela Lansbury week. :)

Greenbelt and Gig Sketches

I really enjoy drawing when I watch live music. I started doing it for practice because of my Giant Rhinos In Space graphic novel/comic project is all about a band. I think it really helps with getting the cartoon characters into more natural poses. These sketches are of  Jenny Lockyer, Helen Arney and The Unthanks from their performances at Greenbelt Festival. The Austin Francis Connection

I did some album artwork and comics for the Austin Francis Connection last year. The album was released on the 1st April 2011 and is available on Band Camp and Big Cartel. You can read more about the making of the album artwork and some sketch book work I did on the Austin Francis Connection blog.
