Birmingham MCM Comic Con November 2014

Thank you to everyone who came by my table at Birmingham MCM Comic Con. It was strange doing a big event without Sarah Fogg so thank you very much to Lisa and Shaz for helping out.

I’m hoping to have some table space at the next InZine Fest - 12-5pm at The Pod (Coventry) on Saturday 6th December. See Facebook for more information.

And I’m sure I’ll see some of you in the new year at True Believers Comic Festival!
But if you can’t get to events you can order most of the items on the table from on Sarah’s Etsy Shop or my Etsy Shop.

Thought Bubble 2014

Thank you very much to everyone we saw at Thought Bubble over the weekend! I had a really good time and I’m excited about making new comics.

Sarah Fogg and I made a comic on the way home about something funny which actually happened on Sunday. :’)

I have a table this weekend at Birmingham MCM Comic Con. Sarah wont be there this time - but I will have some copies of the latest issue of What’s The Time Mrs. Woolf? You’ll be able to find table A8 in the Comic Village - there should be a map in the show guide. I will have free mini comics to hand out - the secret password is ‘Do you have a business card?’

If you can’t get to events you can order most of the items on the table from on Sarah’s Etsy Shop or my Etsy Shop.

Bimba & I Double Dare Ya

I have a Stale Symphony comic in Bimba #2 - this issue has a Witch theme!

And I have an illustration of The Gossip in I Double Dare Ya! - A Riot Grrrl Inspired Super Zine!

Both books are A4 and filled with some really cool comics, illustrations, articles. Thank you Donya Todd & Julia Scheele for including my work.

St. Vincent Portrait and Gigsketches

I went to see St. Vincent play at the Roundhouse when I was in London MCM Expo last weekend. The show was absolutely amazing. The audience were asked not to record the show digitally, but I still did a couple of sketches while I was there. I couldn't resist drawing a full illustration one I got home. The last set of sketches are of the warm up band, Coves.

Thank you very much to everyone who came by the table in the Comic Village at MCM Comic Con last weekend! sarahfogg and I had a really great con. Sarah’s new Yawamushi Pedal stickers were very popular. (The original paintings are in the close up photo - lovely!)

Hopefully we’ll see some of you at Thought Bubble festival on the 15th-16th November. Our table will be in New Dock hall this year. (full up to date events list on the blog sidebar)

If you’re interested in buying our comics online you can find What’s The Time Mrs. Woolf? and Sarah’s comics on Sarah’s Etsy Shop and the joint Goth Anthology, Music Zine and my comics over on my Etsy Shop.

LICAF 2014

Thank you very much to everyone who came by our table in the Clock Tower at LICAF. Sarah and I had a really fantastic weekend there. Sarah was working on her Inktober drawing behind the table. You should have a look at the 24hr comic challenge blog if you haven't seen it yet.

We'll be sharing a full table at London MCM Comic Con this weekend. We'll be there Friday-Sunday and you'll be able to find our table in the Comics Village section of the event. (There should be a map in the show guide and ceiling banners to help out). Sarah will be taking along the extra anime stickers and hand sewn mini note books. We'll have FREE MINI COMICS to hand out - if we miss handing one to you the secret password is 'Do you have a business card?'

If you're interested in buying our comics online you can find What's The Time Mrs. Woolf? and Sarah's comics on Sarah's Etsy Shop and the joint Goth Anthology, Music Zine and my comics over on my Etsy Shop

Leamington Zine #6

I made a skateboard comic for Leamington Zine #6. The theme this time was Fall Back/Spring Forward. I think the zine will be launching at Leamington Comic Con which is happening this weekend. If not keep an eye out for the usual detailed stock listings on the LZ Facebook page.

Unfortunately I wont be at the Leamington event because I'm sharing a half table with Sarah Fogg at LICAF in Kendal. We'll be taking some free mini comics to hand out - the secret password is 'Do you have a business card?'

Bristol Comic and Zine Fair 2014

Thank you very much to everyone at the Bristol Comic and Zine Fair yesterday! I had fun with Sarah Fogg behind the table drawing glittery make up on some of my Free Mini Comics.

The next event on our comics tour will be The Lakes International Comic Arts Festival (LICAF). We have a half table in the Comics Clock Tower. Please come and say hi. We’ll be taking some Free Mini Comics to hand out - the secret password is ‘Do you have a business card?’. (full events list can be found on the blog sidebar)

If you’re interested if buying some some comics and can’t make it to any of the events they are available to order online through Sarah’s Etsy Shop or my Etsy Shop (which has finally been converted into GBP).

I’ll be sharing a half table with Sarah Fogg and we will be bringing FREE MINI COMICS & ZINES to hand out to anyone interested. :) See you there!

Articles, illustrations and comics featuring Baby Metal, Damon Albarn, Gorillaz, Pixies, Bat For Lashes, Franz Ferdinand, Courtney Barnett, Honeyblood, Glass Animals, Dizraeli, Animal Collective, Roadidendren, Haim, We Are Scientists, Cecile Corbel, Adventure Time and Regular Show.

"It probably seems silly to be printing a music zine at a time when music blogs are becoming a popular alternative. You can listen to the music at the same time as reading the articles and news updates are instant. We realised we don’t have the time to keep up with it all, so last year, instead of trying, we decided to create a music zine together, where we could write about the music that makes us happy! We had so much fun making the first one that we decided to make more whenever we have enough material to fill a new issue. We’ve filled this issue with music themed comics, gig sketches, articles and illustrations. We hope you enjoyed reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it!"

InZine Fest

Thank you to everyone at InZine Fest in Coventry yesterday! I had a really great time despite a recovering headcold. It was good to meet local zine and comics creators and some arty students who passed through.

The next event I'm attending with Sarah Fogg will be the Bristol Comic & Zine Fair next saturday! We're sharing a half table so stock will be slightly limited. We're on time so far to launch the next issue of our music zine This Is Not A Serious Music Publication and the autumn issue of What's The Time Mrs. Woolf?

Portrait Commissions

Over the summer I did a series of portraits for a personal commission. It was fun designing all those killer clowns. If you would like more information on commissions please visit this page for examples and a rough price guide. Thank you.

I have added some extra comics and zine fairs this autumn, see the blog sidebar for the current list.
