London MCM Comic Con and New Haunted Skatepark Comics

 

Thanks to everyone at London MCM Comic Con in October! Special thanks to Sarah Fogg for helping out all weekend! I will miss decorating the table for Halloween.

The last event of the year will be Birmingham MCM Comic Con (Saturday only). I will be sharing table CG9 with Iella. I have the usual comics, zines and merchandise along with FREE MINI COMICS to hand out!

I have printed a new comic in time for the weekend! Haunted Skatepark includes a short story comic and development work in the back pages. If you can't make it to Birmingham MCM Comic Con, please don't forget my comics and zines can be ordered online through my Etsy Shop. Thank you.

Hourly Comic Day 2017

It was Hourly Comic Day last week - an annual challenge to produce one journal comic per waking hour of the day. I've printed my comic into a mini zine like in previous years. It's now available to order through my Etsy shop. I can confirm I have a table at both Birmingham and London MCM this year. ICE Comic Con 2016

Thank you to everyone who found us at ICE Comic Con on Saturday. Special thanks to Sarah Fogg for bringing her Pokemonathon and keeping me company. The Pokemon paintings are available to order from Sarah's Etsy shop.

The next con I'm attending will be Scotland MCM Comic Con! I don't have the table number confirmed yet (look out for it nearer the day on my Twitter account) but I will be in the Comic Village section of the event. I invited some friends over to Fargo Village to draw and play Pokemon Go together. It was a lot of fun. Here are the prompts for anyone who would like to try them ...

Pokemon Drawing Prompts

• Pokemon from memory (pull a name at random)
• Draw yourself as a gym leader
• Draw yourself as a Pokemon trainer
• Fan-design your fave Pokemon in new Alola Forms
• Fan-design your fave Pokemon as a Mega Evolution
• Design a Pokemon Gijinka character (humanoid interpretation)
• Fan-design a more majestic Dragon/Grass duel type Pokemon than long neck Exeggutor
• Design your own ‘Pokemon Fusion’ (usually the face of one Pokemon, on the body of another)

InZine #5 and Event News

The comic page is from a short autobio story I drew for the Laydeez Do Comics Birmingham Hometown anthology. (the next LDC Birmingham event will be on Monday 4th April) I have some events news so it felt fitting to include the page here...

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table at InZine Fest #5. It's always a lovely relaxed atmosphere and I had a great time chatting to local comics friends Joe Krawec, Timothy Conroy and Rees Finlay.

The next event will be the Birmingham Comics Festival - I'll be sharing a table with Joe Krawec and Angus Medford who will be launching their new comic Blood. (I wont be taking the folder of original drawings to this event due to space) I will have free mini comics to hand out.

I can also now confirm a 1/2 table at Thought Bubble! I'm super excited because it's my favourite event of the year. The convention will held on the first weekend of November.

Grimes Risograph Fanzine

I compiled a Grimes Fanzine through my music blog www.thatmusiczine.tumblr.com - I was sent some beautiful illustrations, mostly through the UK small press comics scene. The zine was printed locally at Rope Press using a risograph machine with florescent pink ink. The zines are now ready to launch at True Believers Comic Festival this Saturday.
