Boom! Box Mix Tape 2016

 

Happy new year! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

I contributed a 3 page comic to this years the Boom! Box Mix Tape anthology. My short story is set at a music festival and includes a puzzle on each page. The publication was released earlier this month and if you can't find a copy at your local comic shop don't forget a digital version is available to order via Comixology.

I still haven't booked any comics events for 2017 just yet but look out for confirmation announcements via twitter 
 

Birmingham MCM Comic Con November 2016

Thank you to everyone at Birmingham MCM Comic Con - it was a really lovely way to end autumn convention season. I don’t have any specific events booked for 2017 yet but I’m looking forward to seeing you guys again in the new year so look out for announcements :)

London MCM Comic Con October 2016

Thank you to everyone who came by my table at London MCM Comic Con! I really love decorating my table for Halloween. I had a great time with my table neighbours @ryuuza-art, @claudetc and @ratherlemony!!

I’ll be at Thought Bubble this weekend in Leeds! I’m sharing table 182b in New Dock Hall with Drew Askew/Ink & Booze.

I’m picking up a brand new gig sketches zine from the printers this week! (Rope Press) It compiles some of the gig sketches from the last year or so plus new comics and illustrations - including ‘Sammy’s Guide to Gig Sketching’ - sharing tips on how to draw on location, in the dark and in the middle of rowdy crowds. Thanks to everyone at BCZF this weekend. It was really great to be back again this year, I love meeting so many fashionable Bristolians. Special thanks to the organizers for hosting such a lovely event! Next show will be London MCM Comic Con at the end of October. I'll be spread out over a full table in the Comic Village - which means I can bring a folder of ink drawings. Please come say hi and pick up 2016's free mini comic! Scotland MCM Comic Con 2016

Thank you to everyone at Scotland MCM Comic Con over the weekend! It was really lovely to see people from last year and meet new people. I have a 1/2 table at the Bristol Comic & Zine Fair this Saturday. Best zine fair of the year - see you there?! I’ll be bringing FREE MINI COMICS as usual!

ICE Comic Con 2016

Thank you to everyone who found us at ICE Comic Con on Saturday. Special thanks to Sarah Fogg for bringing her Pokemonathon and keeping me company. The Pokemon paintings are available to order from Sarah's Etsy shop.

The next con I'm attending will be Scotland MCM Comic Con! I don't have the table number confirmed yet (look out for it nearer the day on my Twitter account) but I will be in the Comic Village section of the event. I invited some friends over to Fargo Village to draw and play Pokemon Go together. It was a lot of fun. Here are the prompts for anyone who would like to try them ...

Pokemon Drawing Prompts

• Pokemon from memory (pull a name at random)
• Draw yourself as a gym leader
• Draw yourself as a Pokemon trainer
• Fan-design your fave Pokemon in new Alola Forms
• Fan-design your fave Pokemon as a Mega Evolution
• Design a Pokemon Gijinka character (humanoid interpretation)
• Fan-design a more majestic Dragon/Grass duel type Pokemon than long neck Exeggutor

Manchester MCM Comic Con 2016

 

Hey! I’d like to say thank you to everyone at Manchester MCM Comic Con last weekend! It’s one of my fave MCM’s of the year so it was lovely to be back. I had a laugh sat between Chibby Shibby and Sian Jefferson.

Misc Fits sticker sheets

I'm launching some new Misc Fits merchandise at Manchester MCM Comic Con this weekend. Misc Fits is a series of slice of life short story comics. I needed to design some stickers for the characters to use when they are using their phones to talk to each other - so I thought it would be fun to make full sets for each character.

I will have brand new FREE MINI COMICS to hand out at this event - so please do come by and say hi! You wont have the comic yet, even if you've seen me at a convention already this year.

Small Press Day 2016

Special thank you to Camila and the staff at Orbital Comics for putting on a lovely event for Small Press Day! The hour slot with Clíodhna, Jenika, Sina and Sean was good fun and the time flew by far too quickly!

I sent some gig sketches to One Beat Zines for a new zine they launched yesterday over at Gosh! Comics. It’s got a really great mixture of illustrations and comics!
