House Party Illustration

The Tea Book - Apple And Cinnamon Tea

In May Rebecca Burgess organised a Tea themed project. Each illustrator designed a character based on a different type of tea. The final art book has a great variety of styles. My entry was based on Apple and Cinnamon Tea.

London MCM Comic Con 2014

I went to London MCM Comic Con with Sarah Fogg last weekend. Thank you to everyone who came by our table or bought comics.

The next event we will be attending will be at Manchester MCM Comic con at the end of July. The table will be in the Comic Village again! We will be launching some new Zines and Free Mini Comics!

BCExpo 2014

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table at BCExpo! It was nice chatting to friends again this year.

On Sunday we made had a house of cards battle with our free mini comics - Sarah won! 

The next event we're attending is London MCM Expo! You'll be able to find us in the comics village.We update the free mini comics every year so this will be the last event we use this set.

Music Zine #3

Sarah Fogg and I compile a music zine together roughly once a year called This Is Not A Serious Music Publication. We will print the next issue once we have enough comics, articles, gig sketches, illustrations to fill a new one. These are just some previews of some of the things I've started this year. Cyborg Noodle from Gorillaz, a comic about the Franz Ferdinand tour and Mordecai and the Rigbys VS. Marceline And The Scream Queens. Last year's issue is still available to order through Etsy.

Leamington Zine & Record Store Day

Stale Symphonies are a series of short gag style comics. Most of the stories have been created with a collective zine or anthology in mind. This one has been submitted to the latest issue of Leamington Zine because the theme was music to coincide with Record Store Day. I have also contributed an illustration of local band The Rosenberg Appeal.You can find a list of their stockists on their Facebook page and read past issues online here.

Birmingham MCM Comic Con 2014

Giant Rhinos In Space #1 Cover Design

 

I designed a new wrap around cover for Giant Rhinos In Space #1. The first issue will contain all 30 pages of chapter 1. I an hoping to have the print version available at the end of March. This comic is also being published online weekly as a webcomic. 3 new pages of the story are added every Friday afternoon. Click here to start reading.

Midlands MCM Comic Con 2014

Sarah Fogg and I had a good day at Midlands MCM Expo yesterday. It was great to see so many friends and meet new people. Thank you to everyone who came by the table for a chat and/or purchased comics and zines.

Hourly Comic Day 2014 Mini Comic

I decided to print my Hourly Comic Day 2014, ready to take to Midlands MCM Comic Con in Telford on Saturday 15th February. I will be sharing a table with Sarah Fogg in the Comic Village.

I used my Witchsona illustration as the cover because the character design is mentioned a couple of times in the comic. The comics are also available to order from my Etsy shop.

Hourly Comic Day 2014

Hourly Comic Day is on 1st February every year. People all around the world draw 1 comic per hour they are awake. I have done this challenge on and off for about 4 years.

At the beginning of December I fell of my bike and fractured my jaw, cut open my lip and chin and one of my front teeth shattered. The scar on my lip doesn't really look like a line, but I think it looks different enough to draw it in some way so I decided to draw it in a symbolic way rather than a visual representation.
