Dead Singers Society #3

This preview image is from a comic about Arthur Russell I created for Good Comics Dead Singers Society Volume 3. I had a lot of fun listening to his music and looking up radio and film documentary's for research. Broken Frontier have posted a great review about the project - you can read it here. True Believers Comic Festival 2016

Thank you so much to everyone at True Believers Comic Festival - it was pretty chilled behind the table and a nice start to convention season.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been pre-ordering the 2nd print run for the Grimes Fanzine through Etsy - I completely miss calculated how many we would need and I’m really sorry about for the inconvenience!

The next event will be Midlands MCM Comic Con, Telford on Saturday 13th February. I don’t have a table number or a map yet, but I will be in the Comic Village section which is worth looking around anyway! Please come and say hi because I have FREE MINI COMICS to hand out!

Don’t forget it’s - Laydeez Do Comics Birmingham on Monday 8th February! 7.30-9.30pm at The Victoria. Presentations by Lucie Ebrey aka muggybees, Verity Hall,  and Alexandra McCarthy. LDC Birmingham are making an anthology with the theme ‘hometown’ - email ldcbirmingham@gmail.com if you’re interested in hearing more! (everyone is welcome at LDC - yes, I mean guys can come along and hang out!)

Grimes Risograph Fanzine

I compiled a Grimes Fanzine through my music blog www.thatmusiczine.tumblr.com - I was sent some beautiful illustrations, mostly through the UK small press comics scene. The zine was printed locally at Rope Press using a risograph machine with florescent pink ink. The zines are now ready to launch at True Believers Comic Festival this Saturday. Hourly Comic Day mini comics and John Grant & Soley gig sketches are printed and ready to take to True Believers Comic Festival, Cheltenham on Saturday 6th February! True Believers Comic Festival 2015

Thank you to everyone who came by our table at True Believers Comic Festival last Saturday! It was really great chatting to friends throughout the day. Our table was under the shadow of the balcony and it made us feel a bit sleepy - hahaa!

The soot sprites were given to us by our table neighbor Collette J Ellis - Thank you! they are super cute!

My next event will be Midlands MCM Comic Con in Telford this Saturday 14th February. I can also confirm tables at both Birmingham MCM, and London MCM this spring.

Giant Rhinos In Space #1 Printed

Giant Rhinos In Space #1 is now available in print! You can order online through my Etsy shop. The comic is A5 with 32 black and white interior pages and a matt laminated full colour wrap around cover. You can also follow the comic weekly as a webcomic at  www.giantrhinos.smackjeeves.com

I'm still really surprised about it, you should have a look at the excellent comics featured on the other days. UoG Small Press Fair and What's The Time Mrs. Woolf? Autumn 2013

Sarah Fogg and I had a good time at the University of Gloucestershire's Small Press Fair at the Cheltenham Literature festival. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table over the weekend.

What's The Time Mrs. Woolf? Autumn 2013 was released at the weekend. I submitted a 3 page Stale Symphony comic called It's A Curse.

Sarah and I will be at London MCM Expo from Friday 25th until Sunday 27th October. You'll be able to find the Inspired Comics Collective table in the Comics Village area of the event.

Bristol Comic and Zine Fair 2013

I had a fantastic time at the Bristol Comic and Zine Fair with on saturday. I shared the table with Inspired Comics Collective, quarterly zine What's The Time Mrs. Woolf? and Sarah Fogg. Thank you very much to everyone who came by our table for a chat and comics. We'll be at 3 events over october so we thought we'd add some spooky elements to our photos this year. The photoshoping this time is by Sarah Fogg.

This weekend the University of Gloucestershire is holding a small press fair. It will be in a marquee in Imperial Square, Cheltenham. The literature festival is also on all this week so there should be more to see than just the art fair.

We are also handing out free mini comics at every event. The secret password is 'Do you have a business card?' but hopefully we will have passed you some before you need to use that.
