London MCM Comic Con and New Haunted Skatepark Comics

 

Thanks to everyone at London MCM Comic Con in October! Special thanks to Sarah Fogg for helping out all weekend! I will miss decorating the table for Halloween.

The last event of the year will be Birmingham MCM Comic Con (Saturday only). I will be sharing table CG9 with Iella. I have the usual comics, zines and merchandise along with FREE MINI COMICS to hand out!

I have printed a new comic in time for the weekend! Haunted Skatepark includes a short story comic and development work in the back pages. If you can't make it to Birmingham MCM Comic Con, please don't forget my comics and zines can be ordered online through my Etsy Shop. Thank you.

Greenbelt Gig Sketches 2014

I went to Greenbelt Festival last weekend and did some gig sketches while I was there. On Friday night I saw  The Hackney Colliery Band and Stonoway preform on the Glade stage.

On Saturday I saw Levi Hummon, Dizraeli and the Small gods and Ellie Rose.

And on Sunday we went to The Rising in the Big Top which included Martyn Joseph, Rory Butler, Heather Hind and Chris T-T.

I doodled some of my own characters while I was at the festival. They don't have names yet because I'm trying not to get attached to them early in case the story requires design changes.

These are character designs for a short story comic I'm hoping to find time to draw draw next year. They are college friends. They are all fun to draw because of their over exaggerated features.

February 2012 Projects

 

 This is a new poster design I did for a FishNote event later in the year.

Inspired Comics are working on a new anthology for the spring term and these are the characters for my contribution. We had a great time helping to run the art competition with Itch publishing at Midlands MCM Expo in February. Details for future events we will be attending as a group are on Inspired's blog.

Best Day Ever & Jumping The Shark

I launched a new site to host two short stories together because previously it wasn't clear how to navigate the old webcomic site. I have also drawn extra character profiles and put extras dotted about the site.

I had fun at the Orbital Comics Self-portrait Show Private View last weekend. I forgot to take photos but Sarah McIntyre did a great blog post full of photos if you're interested. The portraits will be up until 15th October 2011.

Jumping the Shark

Jumping the Shark is the latest webcomic short story to be uploaded weekly on Instant Comics. It's a follow up to a previous story, Best Day Ever. I have printed copies of Best Day Ever which I have been selling at comics events, shops and my Etsy shop. Hopefully I will be able to print this new comic at some point during 2012.

These are my designs for some new characters and slight changes to the original cast such as weight change and hair cuts.

Artemis Fowl Illustrations

For a personal project I have created a cover and a couple of illustrations for the first Artemis Fowl book by Eoin Colfer.
