Misc Fits @ Comic Con

 

 

I’m taking my comics up to Scotland MCM Comic Con for the first time this weekend - 26th-27th September at The SECC, Glasgow.

My table is CF1 in the Comic Village - so I should be on the end of one of the rows - there will be maps available online, in the show guide (click here!) and hopefully around the room. There is usually a handy ceiling banner hanging above the Comic Village and it looks like the section will be roughly in the middle of the convention hall. 

I always take free mini comics to hand out at events - I have a secret password in case I get carried away chatting or the table is busy and I miss handing you one - you just need to casually ask ‘do you have a business card?’ and you’ll get given a whole comic!

Misc Fits: The Sea Apple will be available to buy in bright full colour print format! (If you would like to see the characters on merchandise please let me know and I’ll try sorting something for some of the later events.)

I’m taking a folder of original pages and illustrations. They are individually priced ranging from £10-£30 depending on paper size and how complicated they are. I have a couple of Giant Rhinos In Space illustrations, portraits from That Music Zine and all the Misc Fits comic pages and The Sea Apple cover spread.

I’m also going to have a new bundle deal available at the show - all 3 issues of Giant Rhinos In Space plus a poster for £10 - that saves you money on comics and knocks the poster price down to £2.50 - half price!

Manchester MCM Comic Con 2015

 

 

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came by my table at Manchester MCM Comic Con last weekend - I had a amazing time! My next convention will be at ICE - that’s International Comics Expo in Birmingham city center (not far from New Street) on Saturday 5th September 2015. I’ll be sharing a table with Laura/PinkAppleJam! A full up to date events list can be found on the sidebar of this blog. I also have a online shop over on Etsy.

Laydeez Do Comics Birmingham is meeting next week! 6pm on Monday 3rd August - Guest speakers are Selina Locke, Hunt Emerson, Charlotta Salmi & Alex Birch - more info about the event at the LDC Birmingham Facebook page. (you don’t have to be female to attend the event)

Annie and the Tectonic Plates

Annie and the Tectonic Plates are a band of aliens from my comic Giant Rhinos In Space. I designed a fictional gig poster to take to Manchester MCM Comic Con at the end of July. You'll be able to find my table in the Comic Village (maps haven't been released yet - but should available online nearer the event and at at the show)

The posters should be available to order though Etsy in a couple of weeks time. Print copies of issues 1-3 are available to buy individually or in bundle offers.

Off The Record

 This is a new poster design I did for a FishNote event later in the year.

Inspired Comics are working on a new anthology for the spring term and these are the characters for my contribution. We had a great time helping to run the art competition with Itch publishing at Midlands MCM Expo in February. Details for future events we will be attending as a group are on Inspired's blog.
